Paul Welch, 71 Dies Wednesday; Funeral Friday Paul Welch, 71 retired farmer died at his Cross Roads home October 3 at 1:05 p.m. after a short illness. Mr. Welch was born in Henderson County and lived here all his life. Funeral services were held last Friday at 2 p.m. from the Beck's Chapel Methodist Church with interment at Beck's Chapel. Mr. Welch was a member of the Methodist Church, and also an Odd Fellow. He is survived by his wife; one son, G. E. Welch of Palestine; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Hanks of Houston; four brothers. I. B. Welch of Cross Roads, H. G. WElls of Port Arthur and James Welch stationed with the army in Japan; five sisters, Mrs. Cora Brown, Montalba; Mrs. Emma Goodgame, Athens; Mrs. Billie Simmons, Athens, Rt 1; Mrs. Armanda Brown, Palestine; and Mrs. Alma Fade, Cayuga; and two grandchildren.
