From the Huntington Herald Press Online, December 15, 1998 Paul L. Schug, 63, 239 Roche St., died at 11:20 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 12, 1998) at his home. Mr. Schug was the former owner of Markle Marine and had co-owned S&S Inc., Huntington, from 1970 to 1980. He had also worked as a salesman for the Cameo Boat Company, as general manager of the Warren Auto Truck Plaza, and at Allied Signal in Huntington. He was a 1953 graduate of Berne French High School and served with the Army during the Korean War. He was born Nov. 4, 1935 in Berne to Walter and Lenora Yoss Schug. He married the former Mary P. Wandersheid, who died in 1961. Survivors include a son, Rob Schug, Fort Wayne; a daughter, Deborah Hanson, Huntington; a brother, Jack Schug, Huntington; a sister, Mrs. Chuck (Alice) Stevens, Ann Arbor, Mich.; and three grandchildren. Also surviving is a companion, Penny Hosler, Huntington. A sister, Shirley Sprunger, is deceased. Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Larry Taylor will officiate. Burial will be at M.R.E. Cemetery, Berne.
