  4.   Source:Genealogy of the Balch families in America, p. 34, suggests the Paul that was bp. 17 May 1730 d. young, and a second Paul Raymond was b. 12 May 1732. Source:Vital records of Salem, Massachusetts, to the end of the year 1849 (228580) do not show the 1732 date. The two dates are similar enough that might suspect some kind of transcription error, especially since the age at death seems to match the 1730 date.
