Paul E Henline, 79, of Fostoria died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at St. Franc is Health Care Center in Green Springs at 7:50 p.m. He was born Dec. 28, 1922, in Bradner to Arthur and Eda (Weng) Henline a nd graduated from Pemberville High School in 1940. Mr. Henline served in the U.S Navy during World War II as a radioman thi rd class on LST in the Pacific. He married Thelma Damschroder Feb. 6, 1947, in Gibsonburg, and she survive s. He worked at White Front Market in Forest and Fostoria from 1946-67, own ed and operated Forest Supermarket from 1967-79, worked at Seneca Lumb er in Fostoria from 1979-1989 and worked as a maintenance man at Hope Luth eran Church in Fostoria for the past several years. Mr. Henline belonged to Hope Lutheran Church where he was a past Church Co uncil member; Hope 60 Club; Lutheran Brotherhood No. 8751; was a member, a djutant, trustee and and past commander of the Fostoria American Legion; a nd was a member of the Risingsun American Legion. He is survived by his wife; two daughters and their husbands, Pamela and R ick Van Mooy of N Baltimore and Susan and Rod Echelberry of Fostoria; fi ve grandchildren, Ben Van Mooy, Audrey Bentz, Jessica Echelberry, Mark Ech elberry and Sam Echelberry; a great-granddaughter, Miranda Van Mooy; thr ee brothers, Lloyd Henline, Kenneth Henline and Luther Henline, all of Pem berville; and a sister, Margaret Bursiek of Gibsonburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Willard Henline; a nd a sister, Laurene Buck. Visitation services were held Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at Mann-Hare Funer al Home in Fostoria, which handled the arrangements. Funeral services are today, Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at Hope Lutheran Chu rch in Fostoria at 2 p.m. The Rev. Larry Knigga will officiate the service . Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria with military graveside ri tes performed by the United Veterans of Fostoria. Memorials may be sent to the church. |
