PATRICK (PETER) MILROY was born in 1668 at Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland.

"He was driven away to Stoneykirk in 1685."S2 This is provided with no further explanation. It is interesting to muse on what could have happened to drive away the youngest child of Patrick Milroy and Janet Meiklevrick at just seventeen years old. Was he so terrible that no one could stand him? Did he get into some kind of trouble? Did he get caught up in part of some bigger event? Further research is required.

In any case eleven years later, he married JANET (JEAN) MCNAIR circa 1696 at Wigtownshire, Scotland. He was 28. He apparently settled down and raised a normal family.

He died on 12 Sep 1746 at Stoneykirk, Wigtownshire, Scotland, at 78 years old.
