Evidence for his date of birth varies, with the 1860 census saying about 1797, the 1870 census saying about 1790, and the death record saying about 1783. It is possible this death record was for another Paddy McDeed, although no others near his age appeared in Vermont on the 1870 census. Perhaps he was in his late 80s when he died but looked older.
