Warning
Original source records show that a Patrick Campbell married Eleanor Hays at Paxtang Church in 1755
But according to our current data in this article and associated articles, Patricks father was a James Campbell who died in Augusta in 1741, when Patrick was age 9. Assuming that
- James did indeed have a son Patrick,
- Patrick was born c1732,
- he married Eleanor Hays in 1755 in Paxtang Church in PA,
we need an explanation of why he was in PA, and not Augusta. Did his family leave the area and resettled in the Paxtang area? Note that the Michael Woods (1) line is associated the the Campbell line, and that Michael Woods came to Old Augusta about 1733, from Paxtang.
