Mrs. Patricia Lou "Patti" Anderson was born in Boone County, Indiana, on February 26, 1936, the daughter of the late Charles V. and Mardelle I. (Laughner) Kouns.
Patti graduated from Whitestown High School in 1954 and was still very active in the alumni association.
On February 26, 1956, she was married to Harold Keith Anderson in Whitestown, Indiana. Mr. Anderson passed away on April 8, 2000. After her husband’s passing, Patti moved to Lebanon.
She began her working career as a teacher’s aide at the Perry-Worth school and then went to work for the TDS telephone company in Whitestown. In 1992 she became the office manager for Stephen J. Orphey & Associates in Indianapolis.
Mrs. Anderson was a lifelong and dedicated member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Whitestown. During her youth, she enjoyed participating in 4-H and as an adult continued to be active in many clubs in the area including the Indiana Landmarks Society, Hasty Baker’s Club, and the Alpha Delta Sorority. She had love for the piano and enjoyed teaching lessons. Patti was blessed with a large number of friends and family; she enjoyed spending time and keeping up with each of them.
She is survived by four children John K. Anderson and wife, Sandy – Lebanon, Indiana, Linda L. Gray and husband, Tim – Westfield, Indiana, Mary B. Gyger and husband, Kyle – Lebanon, Indiana, Jane A. Jones – Lebanon, Indiana; and seven grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Patti was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alana J. Anderson and a great granddaughter, Gracie M. Gray.
