  4.   The theory discussed on Family:Josiah Converse and Eleanor Richardson (1) that the family of Josiah Converse and Hannah Sawyer moved to Leicester makes it very probable that this is the Patience who married Zachariah Brown. Given his death date, it seems possible she then married Capt. Thomas Gilbert. But there is a considerable age difference. Since there is no record of a daughter Patience of Zachariah and Patience Brown, we are left to assume Thomas needed a mother for his children, Patience needed a father for hers, and so this is what happened, but it would not be hard to imagine other explanations.
