He moved his first family to Michigan in 1864. He brought his second family to Lawrence County Arkansas by October 1894, went back to sell the farm in Indiana in August of 1895, got sick there and died. He is buried in Mt. Pleasant (Ploss) Cemetery southeast of Headlee.
