Research Notes

  • per Ronda Berry (Find A Grave): According to Son's Ellis' obituary. Parker was married three times, and had 20 children (three alive in 1914). Parker purchased 82 acres in Hamilton Co. IN on 3 Feb 1854. Parker and Mary were married by Jacob Davenspeck, minister of the Gospel, in the Church of Christ, on Blu Davis Creek. Greenbury Rush was appointed guardian of Samuel Scott, son of Parker Scott in Rush Co. on 9 Nov 1840. G.B. Rush (age 60-70) was living next door to Parker Scott in 1840 census (possible father in law- grandfather to Samuel). Buried in McCarty Cemetery, Atlanta, Hamilton, Indiana (no stone remains).
