16 September 1796, Patrick County, Virginia Court Records. A Deed. Pamela Crump Daughter of the late Francis Thorp deceased of the one part and Thomas Reid of the other part together with the memorandum of Livery of Seizure thereon endorsed was proved by the oath of Nathan Reid, William Harris and William Vannerson witnesses whose names are thereunto subscribed & Ordered to be recorded.
