At his home near Adams Centre, N. Y., June 16, 1885, P. W. Greene, aged 73 years, 8 months and 5 days. About the year 1840 he made a public profession of religion and was baptized by Eld. C. M. Lewis into the fellowship of the First Verona Church. At the time of his death he was a member of the Adams Church. Throughout his life, as a professed disciple of Jesus, he maintained his faith in Christ and was much attached to the people of God.
Throughout his long sickness, he was very patient amid great sufferings. He expressed a readiness to depart, and was comforted in the belief that he should be with Christ, where in a short time his companion would meet him. He had lived with his wife, who survives him, over half a century. Truly the separation of these Christian spirits can not be long. A. B. P.
