Rootsweb posting says "Owen H.C. the oldest son of Daniel, was a carpenter up till the time of his marriage, after which he was an engineer on the Phila. and Reading railroad." Source:History of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, and a genealogical and biographical record of its families says "Started Hoffman and Follweiler. Learned cabinet making from W A Reimert at New Tripoli, in his employ for 6 years." W A Reimert was the husband of Owen's sister Jane.
