Owen Curtis was the third child of Owen and Mary Curtis. His birth is recorded under the name "Eugene" which is the American version of Owen. He was born on October 18, 1872 at 179 Ninth Street in Boston, Massachusetts. Later a sister and two more brothers would join the family and they would move to Manhattan.
