FATAL THRESHING MACHINE ACCIDENT
Oswell Kern, of Palmerton, Killed When Clothing Caught in Belt
When his clothing caught in the belting of a threshing machine at the farm of his son, Oswill Kern, a lifelong resident of Palmerton was almost instantly killed when he was thrown hard against the gasoline engine. He was sixty-two years old. He is survived by a son, Charles, with whom he resided; a daughter, Mrs. John Teel, of Palmerton; and a brother Aaron, of Slatington. He was a member of Aquashicola Lodge and Palmerton Encampment, I.O.O.F. Funeral services will be held from the home of his son on Friday at one p.m. Interment in Union Cemetery, Slatington.
