    He was born June 16, 1911, in Wrights, Pa., the son of Otto and Jennie Christenson Swanson. Before retiring in 1975 as night foreman, he had been employed for 46 years by the former Crescent Tool Co. He was a member of the Russell United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Frewsburg Volunteer Fire Department. He loved and enjoyed his family and world travel. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lois Dorman Swanson, two sons: [some family names removed for privacy] a sister, Irene Swanson of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Ida, Sadie and Margaret; and three brothers: Arthur, Sigfred and LaVerne. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. The Rev. Gary Donaldson, pastor of the Russell United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
