PULASKI TOWNSHIP - Oscar L. "Sonny" Hinkle, 68, of Pulaski Township, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, in his home following a brief illness. Born Aug. 1, 1935, in Industry, he was a son of the late Lee and Mary (Hineman) Hinkle. After his mother died, at the age of one Sonny was raised by his aunt and uncle, the late John and May Flinner in Pulaski Township, whom he always considered his parents. He had worked for many years for the former St. Joseph Lead Co., Potter Township, and Mansell Trucking, Industry. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. 238 Rochester. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Mary Ellen (Maloney) Hinkle; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Kathy Hinkle, Stafford, Texas, and Chris and Carri Hinkle, Midland; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jay Ostrow, Langhorne, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Kodie, Karlie, Erik, Erika, Ethan, Donovan and Jerod-Michael Hinkle; two sisters, Louella and her husband, Ward Chaffee, Beaver, and Mary Eakin, New Brighton, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com., where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Krouse, of the Marion Hill Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.
