- ↑ "WILLIAMSPORT - Oscar Derwood Arnsparger Jr., 81, of Williamsport, Md.,died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, at Washington County Hospital. Born Sept.1, 1924, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Oscar DerwoodArnsparger Sr. and Olive Mae Guessford Arnsparger. He retired from theWestern Maryland Railway, where he was employed for 42 years. He was amember of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren. He was a member of AmericanLegion Post 202 of Williamsport, Sons of AMVETS, AARP, the RailroadRetirement Club and Gold's Gym. He is survived by his sister-in-law,Nora Arnsparger of Hagerstown; one niece, Linda Brown of Hagerstown; onenephew, Edward Arnsparger Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one great-niece,Rebecca Gause of Hagerstown; companion, Shirley Hessong of Hagerstown;and a close friend, Dave Moss of Hagerstown, who was his trainer atGold's Gym. He was preceded in death by one brother, Edward R.Arnsparger. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at MinnichFuneral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Doris J. Doubwill officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family willreceive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home." -found inthe Morning Herald
