       Funeral services for Osa Reed Hickman were Dec. 27 in Dodge City.  Mrs.

Hickman, 92, was born April 19, 1902, and died Dec. 22.

       She was the widow of the Rev. Minor E. Hickman.  They were married in

August 1945. He died March 3, 1969.

       Mrs. Hickman is survived by a sister, Ola E. Banks, 200 SW 14th,

    Osa Reed Hickman
    Newton - Osa Reed Hickman, 92, died Dec. 22, 1994 at Friendly Acres.
    She was born April, 19, 1902, at Seligman, Mo., the daughter of George and Jane Hays Reed. She was a graduate of Kansas City University. A Newton resident since 1975, coming from Dodge City, she was a retired social worker, a ford County welfare director , and a former grade-school teacher.
    She was a member of Dodge City first United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the national, state and local Retired Teachers Associations.
    In August 1945, she married the Rev. Minor Hickman at Dodge City. He died 1969.
    Survivors include: three stepsons, John, Federal Way, Wash,, Howard, Worthington, Ohio, and Clarence, Kansas; and a sister, Ola e. Banks, Newton.
    Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Maple Grove Cemetery, dodge City. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at Petersen's Funeral Home, Newton.
    Memorials my be sent to Friendly Acres Retirement Community or to the First United Methodist Church, Dodge City, both in care of the funeral home.
