    Orvel Woodrow Shelton of West Memphis, formerly of Steele, died in West Memphis August 21, 1968. Funeral services were held in West Plains, Mo. August 24, at Leland Carter Funeral Home.

    Mr. Shelton was born May 24, 1913, the son of the late Thomas A. and Dixie Thomason Shelton.

    He was employed by the West Memphis Utility Department.

    He leaves his wife, Inez Shelton, Steele; two daughters, Dixie Kelsey of West Plains, and Dana Howell of Clarksdale, Miss.; one brother; Aubrey Shelton of West Memphis and one half-brother, Joe Max Shelton of Memphis.
