Oren F. Hollowell lived in Maine with his grangparents, John & Hanna Elizabeth Merrill, and Nathan F. Hollowell of South China, Maine.

He moved to Iowa in 1867, settling in Wheeling. Moved to Pleasantville in 1881.

He was a member of the Methodist church, and the Masons

New Waterford Plantation became Town of Malta in 1809, then changed its name to Gerry

                 in 1821 and again changed its name to Windsor in 1822.

I have the complete lineage from the progenitor, William Halloway through Roger of Pleasantville which includes much on Orren Freeman Hollowell, born at Windsor, Maine 15 August, 1845 or 6 and died in Pleasantville, Iowa 17 August 1925, married at Prairie City 9 June 1869, Sarah Adelaide Gerald, born 5 March 1845 at Albion, Maine and died 19 November 1915, daughter of Owen and Elvira Gerald.
