Opal Mildred Jones was born March 10, 1911, to Charles and Agnes (Bennett) Jones in Arlington, SD. She attended grade school in Arlington and high school in Madison, SD. She married Louis Frager on November 30, 1930, in Winfred, SD. They later divorced. On September 26, 1945, she married Arthur Tullis in Pipestone, MN. She was employed by Wenk's Produce for more than 50 years where she was an active member of Union Local 428. She lived in Madison all her adult life until she moved to Cold Spring in June 2000 to be near her family. She was a former member of First Methodist Church in Madison. She became a resident of Assumption Home in Cold Spring, MN after suffering a stroke in August 2000.

Opal was a loving and caring mother and a wonderful grandmother who loved making quilts and crocheting Afghans. Her family thought she also made the world's best caramel rolls. Her sense of humor provided many laughs, and we will miss that.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and David Acheson of Cold Spring, MN; grandchildren, Margaret, Rhoda, Jean and Jon and seven great-grandchildren.

Opal was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 47 years, Arthur Tullis (May 1992); her son, Leroy Louis Frager (June 1942); her mother and stepfather, Agnes and William Murphy; brothers, Harold Jones and Hugh, Howard, Kenneth, and John Murphy, and one sister Margaret Murphy Friis.
