Omer Rystad was born September 9, 1911 in Sletten Township to Osmond and Ellen Rystad. He grew up and resided with his parents on the home farm in Sletten township until 1969, at which time Omer and his mother, Ellen, entered the McIntosh Manor Nursing Home in McIntosh. On Sunday, July 16, 1978, Omer Rystad passed away at the Fosston Municipal Hospital in Fosston at the age of 66. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith by the Rev. L.J. Jnus and was a life-time member of the Sandhill Lutheran Church. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ellen Rystad of McIntosh and one brother, Kent of Lengby. Numerous cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Osmond, who passed away in February, 1969. Blessed Be His Memory.
