    "Omar J., only son of Stephen and Maria Jacobs Arnold, was born August 23, 1844 in Canton, Ill., and died June 26, 1916. At the age of eight years he went with his father to California, overland with an ox team, lived there four years and then his father came to Wisconsin and settled in Mt. Ida, where he grew to manhood, and which was his home ever afterward."
    Married Marcia J. Anderson, daughter of James Anderson, a pioneer of Woodman, Wis., on 16 Sep 1869. They had five daughters, three now living: Bertha, Cora (Mrs. John Bollard), and Gladys; two deceased, Bessie (Mrs. Phil Graham) and May. He also leaves 5 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. J. W. Elliott.
    Member of the M.E. Church, where he was laid to rest
