    Dean Crawford Smith does not list Oliver in The Ancestry of Eva Belle Kempton, Part I, but there does not appear to be any other John Kempton of this generation who could be Oliver's father. He was likely born in Uxbridge like his older brother John, who was also apparently baptized in Salem shortly before Oliver was born.
