  3.   The information cited above for Oliver seems all in agreement. However, Source:Gould, Isaiah. History of Stoddard, Cheshire County, N. H, p. 59, says an Oliver Hodgman of Stoddard served in the Revolution (p. 60) and was on the tax lists in 1784 (p. 107). This would have to be an older man than this Oliver. An Oliver Hodgman and Oliver Hodgman Jr. are listed as taxpayers in 1800 (p. 108). This raises some questions about whether Oliver was born in Ashby as cited.
