Oliver Doolittle's grave is the oldest known grave in Winchester, NH's Evergreen Cemetery, according to cemetery caretaker Clifford Struthers. (Personal conversation between C. Struthers and J. Smith, 29 July 2005.)

I had thought he was not married, but there's a possibility that he was married to Thankful Taylor, b. 18 July 1716, dau of Thomas Taylor. She is referenced as widow of Oliver Doolittle in "Western Massachusetts: a history 1636-1925" She subsequently goes on to marry David Field.

From the book "Early maps of Winchester, NH 1733-1892," we find on p. 5 reference to Oliver Doolittle purchasing or living at #28 of Proprietors at Ye Bow (along the Ashuelot River). Page 7 shows a 1788 map (6th division) with an Oliver Doolittle living at #10, but this must have been a much later Oliver Doolittle as *this* one died in 1739, probably without issue.

May 6, 1746 [date conflicts with that inscribed on his gravestone-possibly the date of his father's letter cited below], 'in ye flower of his age.' (Ex. from his father's letter) prob. m. Thankful, dau. of Thomas Taylor. She afterwards m. Col. David Field. There are two traditions relating to this m. They agree in saying that Oliver Doolittle and David Field were both suitors for the hand of Thankful, and that the minister's son was the favored one. One says she changed her mind and m. Field—the other that she m. Doolittle and soon became a wid. The latter is the more probable. She d. March, 26; 1803."

If David Field did in fact marry the widow of Oliver Doolittle, then the date of death given in the Doolittle genealogy is in error. The eldest known child of David and Thankful (Taylor) (Doolittle?) Field was born 31 October 1741.
