Parents not known or confirmed. Married Elizabeth Akers (1783 – 1872). Parents of: Andrew J. Curry (1807 – 1892), Nancy Curry (1807 – 1871), Thomas Curry (1809 – 1849), Mary Curry (1812 – 1862), Oliver Curry Jr (1813 – 1889), Private Samuel Curry (1820 – 1874), and Virginia Curry (1826 – 1904). The Curry's of Greenbrier County are said to be descended from Robert Curry who came from Ireland in 1755 and settled in Augusta County VA. A son of Robert Curry, James, lived about a mile from Fort Spring, Greenbrier County WV, possibly near where Oliver lived. There is no known documentation of the relationship between Robert, his son James, and this Oliver Curry. However, it is thought this Oliver Curry is the brother of Samuel Curry FG# 147512355.
