In Milton, Wis., Oct. 1st, 1878, Olive Spencer, widow of the late Joshua Vincent, aged 86 years. "Aunt Olive" was born in Berlin, N. Y., in 1792. At the age of eighteen, she was married to Joshua Vincent, of the same town, by Dea. John Greene. They subsequently moved to Sangerfield, N. Y., from there to New Britain, and to Almond, and soon after to Alfred, where, in 1837, she was baptized and united with the 2nd Alfred Church, of which she remained a member until death. In 1846, they came to Wisconsin, where they have lived since that time. Joshua Vincent, better known as Squire Vincent, died five years ago. The subject of this notice lived a life full of years, and worthy of all praise. She was the mother of fifteen children, ten sons and five daughters, the grandmother of over sixty, and the great-grandmother of over thirty. Four sons and two daughters have died; but one son and one daughter were able to be at her funeral, which was held at the Milton Junction Church, and attended by a large concourse of people, who followed her to her final resting place. The memory of the just is blessed. A. R. C.
