'Olav [child of Steinar Torsson Fjågesund and Egeleiv Olavsdotter, born in Sundbø] f. 1667 d. 11 vikur [uker].'
translation: Olav [child of Steinar Torsson Fjågesund and Egeleiv Olavsdotter, born in Sundbø] b. 1667 d. 11 weeks.
The year 1667 undoubtedly came from the listing of the birth in the family sermon-book, which apparently followed the Julian calendar (in which 14 Mar 1668 n.s. would have come at the end of 1667). The Gregorian calendar was not officially adopted in Norway until 1700, even though the parish registers appear to have been using it much earlier.
