  1.   Mrs. J. Ben Ross Dies After Illness; Rites Thursday
           Mrs. J. Ben Ross, 906 Shorter Avenue, died at her residence this morning after a lingering illness.
           She was born in Floyd County December 12, 1914, daughter of Mrs. Vera Barton Barnett and the late Leo Barnett. Mrs. Ross was formerly Miss Mildred Barnett.
           Surviving are the husband; one son, Wayne Ross; one daughter, Miss Nancy Ross; mother, Mrs. Vera Barnett; one brother, Cabot Barnett, all of Rome; one sister Mrs. Wilma Barnett, of Chamblee.
           Funeral services will be held at 4 pm Thursday at the Trinity Methodist Church with the Rev. Allen Phillips and the Rev. Forest L. King officiating. Interment will be in East View Cemetery.
           The following will serve as pallbearers: Robert Climer, Lawrence Wilkins, Paul Craven, Charley Hall, John Williams and Charles W. Holland. [Rome newspaper, 13 February 1952] KF-in-Georgia
  2.   Mrs. Ross’ Funeral Conducted Today
           Funeral services for Mrs. J. Ben Ross, 906 Shorter Avenue, who died at her residence yesterday morning, were held at 4 pm today at the Trinity Methodist Church with the Rev. Allen Phillips and the Rev. Forrest L. King officiating. Interment was in East View Cemetery.
