Knight, 82, of 3003 Overlook Dr., Boise Sunday, Oct 2, 1988, in a Boise hospital of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday Oct 6, at the King of Glory Luthern Church. Pastor C. Emerson Vedell will officiate under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Chapel. Burial will follow in Dry Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Knight was born March 15, 1906, Nevada, Missouri, a daughter of Ray and Mary Daharsh. She spent most of her early life in the Payette area. She obtained her teaching certificate from North Idaho Teachers College and taught for several years in Fruitland, Wallace, Homedale and Sandpoint, Idaho. In 1931 she married Ralph Knight. They managed various farming and ranching operations in Idaho, Washington, and Iran until their retirement in Boise in 1972. Mrs. Knight was a past member of PEO. To her last day, Dess was an active person with a keen interest in life and great love for her family. Her death will change the lives of many of us. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kaye Knight of Boise; a brother, Otis Daharsh of Boise; a sister Gladys Knight of Boise; five grandchildren, Kathryn Waddel of Auburn, Ala., Kelley Knight of Chicago, ILL., Kristin Hicks of Boise, David Knight of Ketchum and Karin Knight of Tacoma, Wash., and one great-grandchild, Christopher Ross Hicks of Boise. Numerous additional friends and relatives mourn her loss. Her husband, Ralph died 1981.
