Octavus was son of Johan David Stadfeldt Adolph (1813-1891) and Marie Camilla Fanoe (1815-1902, o with diagonal line); Johan was a wholesaler dealing successfully with herring and agricultural products (kraghogschack website). Marguerite Lumsden Masterton married 14jun1882 Octavus Emil ADOLPH in Ferryhill Free Church, Aberdeen, and “Invekeiter” (Inverkeillor) (Latter Day Saints). Octavus came from Bodal, Denmark, was son of Franz ADOLPH, and was undoubtedly one of the farmers helped by Margaret’s father; he died 28feb1929 (family letters). Octavus was b. 1856 (web).
