1. Came to Pike Co. from Ohio in 1831 Page 26
2. 1860 assets: Real estate $4000, personal $400.
3. Obed does not appear with his family on the 1880 Census. That census reports Robert, Mary, and Charles having a father born in IL, not OH where Obed was born.And, an additional child, Allen, was born 1882. Some of the last children may have been from other families. (In some census takers' handwriting, OH and IL can be confused.)
4. Obed died of "Typhoid Fever"; duration of illness "1 yr 30 days". (Death record)
