    ... Their son, Norvell Robertson married Sarah Powell, daughter of Benjamin Powell. This is interesting in view of the fact that Spencer Norvell named James Powell as one of his Executors.

    Norvell Robertson left a very interesting Autobiography, still preserved, in which he states - "My mother's father, George Norvell, was a citizen of Hanover Co. on the north side of the James River, 12 miles from Richmond. He was tolerably wealthy, but being opposed to her marriage, never gave my mother anything but a negro girl."
