[edit] ObituaryNorman Charles Zollar, husband of Iva Faye Herman, father of Kay Elizabeth Zollar Miller, Michael Edward and Thomas Foster Zollar, died in Naples, Fla., on June 18, 2010. Norman was born Oct. 25, 1913, in Dover, O., graduated from the Ohio State University and was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Upon graduation, he worked for the Ohio State Fraternity Food Service until he was commissioned in the Navy as a Supply Officer. After leaving the Navy, he was employed by Lincoln Electric Co. in Euclid, O., where he eventually became General Traffic Manager until his retirement in 1973. Norman and Iva Faye then moved to Naples, Fla., where they were members of the Moorings Presbyterian Church and served in the choir for many years. Norman was a member of the Moorings Country Club, the Audubon Society and the Conservancy. He is survived by his children, and their spouses and by 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held in Dover, O., on Aug. 21, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Dover Burial Park. Donations may be made to AVOW Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Ln., Naples, Fla. 34105.
