Attended Boston public schools, Boston Latin School, Graduated Williams College (B.A.) 1854 Studied law and passed the Suffolk Co MA bar at age 21.

OCCUPATION:

Preferred the ministry. Graduated from Andover Theological Seminary, was in the ministry continuously for over 50 years. 8 years in Rutland VT, 8 years pastor First Pres. Church NYC, 8 years in Syracuse. Also held pastorates in Philadelphia, St. Paul (5 years) and Montpelier VT (8 years). Since then he has been minister at large, preaching every Sunday.
