Norman H Gerwin, 89, of Patterson St, Gibsonburg, died late Friday eveni ng at home.

He was born in Gibsonburg to the now-deceased Henry and Mary (Goetz) Gerw in and attended Gibsonburg High School. On July 19, 1941, he married Marga ret C Fry at Zion Lutheran Church and she survives in Gibsonburg.

Norman served with the U.S Army Air Corps from May 1942 until September 19 45.

He owned and operated Gerwin's Auto Service for more than 20 years as an a uto mechanic. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the American Leg ion and a former member of the Gibsonburg Exchange Club.

Surviving are children LuAnn (Kim) Willinger and Greg (Ruth Ann) Gerwin, b oth of Gibsonburg; grandchildren Jennifer (Guy) Proctor, Weston Henry Gerw in, all of Toledo, Maggie, Ian and Seth Willinger, all of Gibsonburg; grea t-granddaughters Seriah and MaKenna Proctor of Toledo; sisters Mildred Ame ling of Genoa, Leah Keller of Fostoria and Edna Roth of Fremont. In additi on to his parents, he is preceded by sister Mabel Gerwin and brother Da le Gerwin.

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Blair M iller officiating. Fellowship will follow at the church.

Burial: West Union Cemetery.
