Norma Jean Laughner

Mrs. Norma Jean Laughner, 79, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at Parkwood Health Care Center in Lebanon.
Mrs. Laughner was born Aug. 11, 1932, in Boone County, to the now deceased Rilus E. and Dorothy E. (Fendley) Urban. She was a 1950 graduate of Dover High School.
She married Eugene Lee in 1954, and they divorced. She married F. Keith Laughner in October 1985; he passed away on March 2, 1996.
Mrs. Laughner worked for the Boone County Bank for 10 years and Gewell Simon in Frankfort for 12 years.
She was a member of the Michigantown Christian Church.
Survivors include her three sons, Terry L. (Angela) Lee of New Castle, and Larry E. (Debbie) Lee and Jerry A. Lee, all of Lebanon; two brothers, James K. (Nadine) Urban and Robert L. (Betty) Urban, all of Lebanon; three sisters, Lorraine (Roscoe) Perkins of Lebanon, Donna S. (Ron) Fischer of Mesa, Ariz., and Peggy A. (Rick) Skains of Bastrop, La.; sister-in-law, Irene Urban of Lebanon; three grandsons, Daniel Lee and Christopher Lee, both of Lebanon, and Eric Lee of New Castle; one great-grandchild, Annie Lee; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brother, George T. Urban and sister, Linda L. Urban.
Mrs. Laughner truly loved family events, and especially cooking, baking and making candy. She was an avid supporter of the Boone County Special Olympics and spent most of her spare time doing things for others.
