He was born April 8, 1908 in Chickasaw to John and Elizabeth (Hinders) Roeckner and was married to Carrie Roeckner.She died previously. He had made his home in Dayton most of his life, where he retired in 1965 from the U.S. Postal Services as a truck mechanic. After his retirement , he lived in Perrysville for many years. He was a former member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Loudonville. Surviving are children and their spouses, Rita and Don Weeks of North Olmsted, Carol Weber of Hartwell, Ga., and Dale and Theresa Roeckner of Brookville; a stepson, Henry Streaker and his wife, Jenny of Springboro; 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Roeckner of Dayton. In addition to his wife, six brothers and sisters died previously.
