Nora Exline had come to Loudoun County, Virginia as a young girl to teach school. She knew these families of Loudoun County and especially her Uncle David Axline. Much of the data on these early families of Loudoun County are from her memory. She was actively interested in collecting the material for this history. She copied the old records of the New Jerusalem cemetery and wrote the article on the first church.
