Obituary of Nora Alzeta Clark Phelps as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 17 Jul 1993. Nora Clark Phelps, 92, of Camilla died Thursday, 15 Jul 1993, at University Hospital in Augusta. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, 17 Jul 1993, at Camilla First Baptist Church. Burial will be held in Pinecrest Cemetery. Pall bearers are Glenn Phelps, David Phelps, Cary Phelps, Mickie Phelps, Dave Phelps, Darrell Boutwell, Randall Boutwell and William Beasley. A life long resident of Mitchell County, Mrs. Phelps was born 27 Jan 1901, in Mitchell County, the daughter of Ely Clark and Ella Griner. She was the wife of the late Carl Davis Phelps and was a homemaker. She was a member of Camilla First Baptist Church and was a member of the Philathea Sunday School Class. Survivors include three sons, Malcolm, Harry and Duane Phelps, all of Camilla; two daughters, Mabel Neal of St. Simon Island, and Mary Ella Boutwell of Augusta; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The family received friends at Mr. and Mrs. Harry Phelps, Hwy. 19, Camilla. Parker Funeral Home of Camilla has charge of arrangements.
