He was living with them after his parents moved back to Fannin County during the depression. Noel went to high school at night and worked in the order department of Sears, Roebuck & Co.

- ↑ He resigned from Hampton's when none of the Hampton family visited when his mother-in-law, Missouri Turner, died.
- ↑ Noel and Homer Turner were ordained as deacons at the same time. The ministers were Rev. Carl Dean, Rev. Emanuel J. Henry and Rev, A. H. (Gus) Hunt. The church deacons were E.M. Galloway, Jake Parker and Herman Davenport.
