The Gibsonburg Derrick Gibsonburg OH Thursday 13 December 1900, page 1, column 2 Sudden Death: Noah Foster died in his home in the west end of town, quite suddenly l ast Friday morning, about 8:15. He lived alone for two or three days had not f elt well, and asked his son to take him over to his daughters at Helena. He had ju st driven up to get him, when he heard his father utter a scream, and, running in to the house, he found that his father had fallen from his chair and lay dead up on the floor. The funeral took place Sunday, at 11 o'clock, from the Christian churc h, Rev. Higbie preaching the sermon. Mr. Foster, had he lived, would have be en 59 years old the 18th of next February. He leaves a wife, two sons and four daughters. The two sons live at Pr airie Depot. Mrs. Richards at Helena, Mrs. James Tierney of Gibsonburg, the mu te daughter, is a bookkeeper in Columbus and the youngest daughter is with h er mother in Toledo. Mr. Foster and wife separated several years ago. The rem ains were laid to rest in the cemetery west of town. added by Jon Jay Shultz, April 5, 2004, from Larry Smith. |
