Noah Barton born abt 1668, probably Connecticut though no birth record found. Was one of three sons named in will of Mary Barton, 24 June 1688 to share in her estate....In 1698 he is recorded in Eastchester census, apparently unmarried, living with brother, Joseph, and the widow Mary Barton.....In 1709 he was first lieutenant in a militia in a company commanded by his brother, Roger Barton. In 1714/15 he was a private in the Westchester Militia (N.Y. State Historians Report for 1896, page 479......Signed deeds as justice of peace in 1711 and 1714/15.....Marraige. No definite info. but he appears to have purchased land in 1730 at Trenton and is therein described as of Somerset, now Middlesex County, N.J. Record indicates he was joined by wife, Mary who could not write.... it is said without documentation that "Noah Barton married a Mrs. Prichard"......Source: "Roger Barton of Westchester Co., N.Y. & Some of his EarlierDescendents" by Geo.
