Funeral handled by Rev. Rolf, Evangelical Church of Peace. [The church and pastor at the time of my Confirmation]. Obit [TH-IL 32] DC [Registered # 3810263, document #3762] gives her name as Nienetta; cause of death = pulmonary tuberculosis, from which she suffered for several years; contributory cause was tubucular colitis. [TH-IL 45]. Lived at 1124-18 1/2 Ave, Moline at time of death.. OBIT in RI Argus (26 Sep, 1925) “Mrs. Lawrence F. Theus Mrs. Lawrence F. Theus, 1124 Eighteenth-and-a-half-avenue, died at 8:10 o’clock last evening in the Moline city hospital. She was 32 years old and a resident of Rock Island all her life. Death followed a six month’s illness of a complication of diseases. Mrs. Theus was formerly Miss Ninanetta Goff. She was born in Rock Island June 16, 1893. In December, 1919, she married Lawrence F. Theus in Galesburg, Ill. She was a member of the Evangelical Church of Peace. Surviving are the widower and mother, Mrs. Elnora Goff of Rock Island. There is one sister, Mrs. Edna May Trottnow, Rock Island, Three brothers: Bert and Oscar Goff of Rock Island and Frank of Plymouth, Ill., also survive, together with Miss Dorothy Irene Trottnow, Rock Island, a niece. The funeral is to be held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, at the home. Rev. F. J. Rolf, pastor of the Evangelical Church of Peace, will officiate. Burial is to be in Chippianock cemetery.”
