Mrs. Nina L. Slates, 82, of 217 East Main Street, Carrollton, died Wednesday, July 2, in Timken Mercy Medical Center at Canton following a one-month illness. Born March 16, 1898, in Carrollton, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Anna (Seufts) Kintner. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church of Carrollton.
Surviving are her husband, George Slates, whom she married January 27, 1918; three daughters, Miss Kay Slates of Erlanger, Kentucky, Mrs. Ruth Honess of Aurora and Mrs. Jean Trew of North Canton; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death. Services were held Saturday in the Allmon-Dugger Funeral Home at Carrollton with Rev. John H. Visser officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery at Carrollton.
