Mrs. Jean Garrison Henderson, 78, of 6733 Beale Road, Snow Camp, died Monday, March 5, 2007, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after 3 months of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Mr. Glenn L. Henderson, who survives, and the daughter of the late Arthur G. Garrison and the late Lucille Ingle Garrison. She was a member of Rock Creek United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. She and her mother, Lucille Garrison, operated the first licensed Rest Homes in Alamance County, known as Garrison Rest Home in Burlington and Jean’s Rest Home in Graham. Mrs. Henderson retired from Sears. In addition to her husband, Glenn, of the home, she is survived by 3 sons, Jimmy Henderson and his wife, Donna, of Graham, Earl Henderson and his wife, Hilda, of Burlington, Keith Henderson and his wife, Judy, of Burlington; a sister, Mrs. Nell G. Lindley, of Archdale; a brother, James W. “Bill” Garrison, of Greensboro; 7 grandchildren, Todd Henderson and his wife, Sharon, Tony Henderson and his wife, Pam, Melanie Howell and her husband, Michael, Tina Smith and her husband, Chris, Justin Henderson and his wife, Tina, Haley Henderson and Will Henderson and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kelsey Elizabeth Henderson and a sister, Mrs. Nancy G. Hall. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 3:00 pm in the Rock Creek United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Jim Folks. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
