Nimrod Maxwell was administrator for the estate of Elinor Maxwell in 1758 (possibly his mother). He also served as administrator for an Esther BRINCKE in 1763, probably his daughter.

Nimrod Mazwell was a planter and bought land in 1754 and 1756 from the SIPPLE family. He died about 1790/91 per index of estate settlements.
1785 Tax assessments for Nimrod, Sr., show a location of North Murderkill Hundred, west of St. Jones Creek. In 1798, the assessments are for Nimrod, Jr., in Kent Co., DE.

Some researchers believe that Nimrod Maxwell may have had a wife, Mary Pleasenton, before Elizabeth Edmondson (more research necessary).
